About

Supported through the Heritage Lottery Fund, REWIND is an exciting new archive film project in Herefordshire and Shropshire. A collaboration between Flicks in the Sticks and the Huntley Film Archives will bring unseen documentary film footage from the 20th century to new audiences and connect rural communities through history.

Twelve volunteers are being trained as film archivists and will catalogue hitherto unviewed footage from the Huntley Film Archives. Themed programmes of archive film will be chosen for screening at 15 venues early in 2011 with input from local community groups. A further selection of the very best archive material from the project will be made available on DVD with voice-over narration and will be screened more widely.

REWIND is also supported through Screen West Midlands’ Digital Film Archive Fund with support from the National Lottery through the UK Film Council.
